The ideal candidate has previous management experience along with a strong technical background in HVAC and/or plumbing.What You'll DoLead, coach, and hold HVAC and plumbing service technicians accountable for performanceManage day-to-day service department operationsSupport technicians with technical troubleshooting and difficult service callsMonitor technician productivity, revenue, average ticket, callbacks, close rates, and other key performance indicatorsConduct regular technician meetings, training, coaching, and performance reviewsEnsure technicians provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with homeownersHelp develop technicians' technical, communication, and sales skillsReview service calls and identify opportunities to improve performanceWork closely with dispatch and office staff to maintain efficient scheduling and workflowAssist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new techniciansEnsure company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards are consistently followedAddress customer concerns and assist with escalated situations when necessaryHelp control labor, materials, warranty work, callbacks, and other service department expensesMaintain a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and customer serviceWork with company leadership to achieve department revenue and profitability goalsWhat We're Looking ForRequired:Previous HVAC and/or plumbing service management experiencePrevious hands-on technician experienceStrong understanding of residential service operationsProven ability to lead and hold technicians accountableStrong technical troubleshooting knowledgeExcellent communication and customer-service skillsAbility to coach technicians on both technical performance and customer communicationComfortable reviewing KPIs and using performance data to manage the departmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsValid driver's licensePreferred:Experience managing both HVAC and plumbing service operationsServiceTitan or similar field-service software experienceExperience managing department revenue, labor, budgets, and profitabilityExperience recruiting, training, and developing service techniciansCompensation$70,000-$80,000 base salary annually, based on experience and qualifications.Who Will Succeed in This Role?We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to get involved.
