We are seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician for a full-time, ongoing locum opportunity in Illinois. This position offers a consistent Monday Friday inpatient schedule within a hospital-based rehabilitation unit, with a manageable daily census and Hospitalist support for additional medical management.

Schedule
- Monday Friday
- 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Full-time coverage
- Wednesday staff meeting at 7:30 AM
Practice Setting
- Hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation unit
- 11-bed rehab unit
- 134-bed hospital
- Approximately 8 10 patients per day
- May provide acute-care consultations to determine appropriateness for inpatient rehab admission
- Epic EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation care
- Routine medical management of rehabilitation patients
- Evaluate acute-care patients for potential admission to the rehab unit
- Joint injections
- Baclofen pump management
- Bread-and-butter inpatient PM&R services
Support Staff
- Hospitalists available to assist with additional medical management
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited PM&R residency or qualifying combined residency
- Current certification or active participation in the certification process through ABPMR or AOBPMR, with certification achieved within five years
- Active Illinois medical license required
- DEA required
- CSR required
- ACLS required
- 1 2 years of experience preferred
- Recent inpatient rehabilitation experience required
Credentialing
- Standard credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
- Emergency privileges may be available within a few days
