Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care in a hospital/medical facility setting. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients; provide consultation and crisis intervention; collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams; and support quality improvement and professional education activities.

Core Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive physician services within the scope of clinical privileges and professional qualifications.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients and prescribe appropriate courses of treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient history, and diagnostic results.
• Provide preventive care, health education, counseling, and guidance regarding positive health behaviors and self-care.
• Order appropriate diagnostic tests and coordinate consultations or referrals with physicians, specialists, clinics, and other healthcare resources.
• Provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, follow-up care, and clinical management as appropriate.
• Provide emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving procedures when necessary.
• Provide telephone and in-person consultation to physicians, non-physician providers, and other healthcare professionals regarding urgent, emergent, and non-urgent patient care.
• Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient care.
• Consider emerging treatment approaches, clinical procedures, patient history, and diagnostic findings when developing and coordinating care.
• Provide clinical direction, mentorship, and education to healthcare professionals within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Conduct educational presentations, lectures, and in-service training for clinical staff as appropriate.
• Participate in professional medical staff meetings, committees, conferences, and other activities related to clinical responsibilities.
• Evaluate patient care, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations for complex or challenging cases.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review activities.
• Recommend improvements to clinical processes, work methods, and organizational practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity, safety, quality, and effectiveness of patient care.

Education
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
• Graduation from an appropriately accredited medical school in the United States or Canada; or
• Graduation from an approved osteopathic medical school; or
• Graduation from an international medical school with appropriate ECFMG certification.
Residency
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Board Certification
• Board certification must be issued by an organization recognized by the applicable professional accrediting body, including the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists, as applicable.
Experience
• Clinical experience sufficient to meet applicable competency and credentialing requirements.
• Prior hospital-facility experience is required.
• Candidates whose experience is exclusively from outpatient clinics, private practices, or other non-hospital settings will not meet the position requirements.
Licensure
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable jurisdiction.
