Shipping Manager Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities as the Shipping Manager:
Manage the daily operations of shipping and ensure customer needs are met
Coordinate the daily operations of a secondary location remotely
Champion safety and compliance throughout the shipping operation
Oversee inventory cycle counting and investigate significant variances
Standardize processes to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency and warehouse utilization
Train, direct and evaluate employees, manage schedules and address employee concerns within a collective bargaining agreement
Partner closely with Production, Inside Sales and external business partners
Build strong relationships through respectful, effective communication.
Minimum requirements for this Shipping Manager position:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
Extensive experience with an ERP system
Experience in a unionized work place
Experience coordinating delivery schedules, multi-stop shipments and outside carriers
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Strong adaptability and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
