Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and skilled
Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of our premises. Your duties will include conducting routine inspections, performing general repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that our facility operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Key Duties - Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues, defects, or safety hazards and perform necessary preventive maintenance.
- General Repairs: Execute minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, replacing light fixtures, patching drywall, repairing doors and locks).
- Equipment Upkeep: Service, clean, and maintain facility equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Work Order Management: Prioritize and complete daily work orders submitted by staff or management in a timely manner.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist outside contractors and service providers when specialized work or major repairs are required on-site.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues or facility emergencies as they arise.
Requirements: Education - High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or relevant licenses (e.g., electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications - Valid Driver's License: Required for running facility-related errands or traveling between sites, if applicable.
Experiences Needed - Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related trade.
Skills - Technical Skills: Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time-management skills, and good interpersonal/communication skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands - Work is performed primarily on-site in a office / warehouse / residential / school environment.
- May require working outdoors in various weather conditions and handling occasional evening or weekend emergency call-outs.
