Job Summary: The Press Room Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of printing presses to produce high-quality print publications. This role involves ensuring that all printing processes run smoothly, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Press Operation:
o Set up and operate printing presses for daily production.
o Monitor print quality throughout the production process and make necessary adjustments.
o Ensure proper ink and paper supplies are available and loaded correctly.
2. Maintenance:
o Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment.
o Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor and assist in repairs as needed.
3. Quality Control:
o Conduct quality checks to ensure print standards are met.
o Collaborate with the editorial and production teams to address any quality concerns.
4. Safety Compliance:
o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
