Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological cytology specimens
- Identify abnormal cellular changes and prepare findings for pathologist review
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality and regulatory standards
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support accurate diagnoses
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree required
- Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program required
- CT (ASCP) certification required
- Maryland licensure required or eligible if applicable
- Prior laboratory or cytology experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
