Role OverviewAs a Mammography Technologist, you will operate advanced X-ray equipment and perform a range of diagnostic procedures. This role requires a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques, alongside a compassionate "patient-first" communication style.
Schedule: - Full-Time Monday Friday, 7:00 am 4:30 pm
- Occasional Saturdays required
Key Responsibilities: - Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms.
- Educate patients on procedures and the importance of preventative breast health.
- Prepare for and assist Radiologists with intricate exams, including ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety measures and clinical protocols.
- Maintain precise documentation and utilize RIS/PACS software for patient data.
Qualifications: - Education: Completion of an approved two-year School of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time Mammography experience; documentation of clinical experience and 3D (Tomosynthesis) is required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Valid State Radiology registration.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Compliance: Must meet MQSA/FDA standards (15 CEUs every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years).
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of eRad or Sectra RIS/PACS is preferred.
