Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Blood Bank Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a permanent weekend opportunity with a specialized blood bank laboratory in Tucson, Arizona.
This position offers 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, making it an excellent opportunity for a blood bank professional who prefers a concentrated weekend schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized blood bank and immunohematology testing
- Perform antibody screening and identification
- Conduct compatibility and pre-transfusion testing
- Investigate complex antibodies and serologic discrepancies
- Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate testing records and documentation
- Perform quality control procedures
- Work closely with other experienced blood bank professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification
- Previous blood bank experience strongly preferred
- Strong immunohematology and transfusion medicine knowledge
- Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
