Health First Medical Group is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our growing adult cardiac surgery program in Florida.
This is an opportunity for a surgeon interested in building a comprehensive cardiac surgery practice within a collaborative cardiovascular program. Our program offers a broad range of surgical and structural heart capabilities, with opportunities to participate in program development as we expand advanced cardiac services.
Clinical Opportunity
Adult cardiothoracic surgery practice with a focus on comprehensive cardiac care
Active Structural Heart program with access to TAVR, MitraClip, and TriClip
Minimally invasive cardiac surgery capabilities
Developing cardiogenic shock program
Expanding heart failure program
ECMO initiation available on site, with dedicated teams managing ongoing ECMO care
STS 3-star program
No heart or lung transplantation
No LVAD program currently; future development may provide additional opportunities
Dedicated APP team supporting cardiothoracic surgery
Dedicated cardiac anesthesia team
One hybrid operating room
Clinic located within the hospital, providing convenient access to inpatient services, imaging, procedural areas, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular resources
1:4 call schedule

Ideal Candidate
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Eligible for Florida medical licensure and credentialing
Experience in adult cardiac surgery
Interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and/or structural heart preferred
Strong interest in multidisciplinary cardiovascular care
Collaborative approach to patient care
Interest in joining a growing program and contributing to its continued clinical development
