Remote Flexible Schedule Per-Case Compensation
Olympus Health is seeking a Board-Certified Occupational Medicine Physician to serve as a Reviewing Medical Officer (RMO) supporting federal occupational health and law enforcement medical screening programs nationwide.
The RMO provides expert medical review of completed examination packages and issues medical qualification determinations for applicants and employees performing safety-sensitive and national security-related duties. Examinations are completed by network providers and submitted electronically for review through a secure HIPAA-compliant platform.
Responsibilities - Review occupational health examination records, testing results, and supporting medical documentation.
- Evaluate medical qualification in accordance with agency medical standards and occupational health guidelines.
- Determine whether individuals are:
- Medically qualified
- Medically qualified with restrictions
- Not medically qualified
- Require additional information or testing
- Require fitness-for-duty evaluation
- Review audiograms, vision testing, EKGs, laboratory results, physical examinations, and other supporting records.
- Complete written medical determinations and recommendations.
- Consult with operational staff regarding complex occupational health cases.
- Maintain timely turnaround (7-10 days) of case reviews and reports.
Qualifications Required - MD or DO
- Active unrestricted medical license
- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine
- Experience performing fitness-for-duty, return-to-work, occupational health, or medical clearance reviews
- Strong written documentation skills
Preferred - Federal occupational health experience
- Law enforcement, public safety, or government medical qualification experience
- Knowledge of OSHA medical surveillance programs

Compensation Typical reviews require approximately 30 minutes for routine cases, with additional compensation available for complex reviews requiring extended record analysis. Each completed review will be paid at $120. 10-20 reviews per month on average.
