We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled NursePractitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our OrthopedicTrauma Surgery team in Goodyear,AZ . The ideal candidate will be experienced inmanaging orthopedic trauma patients across the continuum of care-from initialconsults to post-operative follow-ups-and comfortable working in a fast-paced,team-oriented hospital setting .
Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient and emergency room consultations for orthopedic trauma cases
- First assist in the operating room with trauma and acute orthopedic surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-op and post-op patient evaluations and rounding
- Perform procedures such as joint reductions, splinting, and wound care
- Collaborate with trauma surgeons, orthopedic staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education
- Rotate coverage including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current Arizona licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Orthopedic or trauma surgery experience required (preferred: 1+ years)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical decision-making, procedural skills, and ability to work independently
