Orthopedics Physician Assistant

We are seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant for an inpatient locum assignment in New Jersey providing coverage from March through August 2027. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call or holiday coverage.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: March 15, 2027
• End Date: August 31, 2027
• Inpatient Orthopedic Trauma
• Physician Assistant position

Schedule

• Monday Friday
• 6:30 AM 2:30 PM
• No call
• No holidays
• Overtime after 40 hours/week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Round on preoperative and postoperative inpatients
• Assist with Orthopedic Trauma consults
• Daily inpatient rounds
• Floor management
• Coordinate and assist with patient discharges
• Exposure to splinting
• Intermittently assist other PAs with splinting

Support Staff

• Work alongside another APP each day
• Collaborative Orthopedic Trauma environment

Requirements

• Physician Assistant
• Up-to-date DEA required
• Up-to-date CDS required
• Active NJ license

Ideal Candidate

A Physician Assistant comfortable with inpatient Orthopedic Trauma, including pre- and postoperative rounding, consults, floor management, discharges, and assisting with splinting.
