Job Description - Summary - Student employee needed to restock items, clean and provide support to the Knight's Grill on campus. Student must be willing to interact with customers to take orders and/or complete customer check out process on register. This is a customer service job. Students must be enrolled in ATLEAST 6 credit hours to qualify for FWS Program. This is a part-time opportunity. Students may work up to 15 hours per week, depending on their unmet need on their FAFSA. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Federal Work Study is federally funded need based aid to assist students with the cost of attending college. This listing is intended for students that will attend Surry Community College during the academic year and have need determined by the federal government. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Prep food orders for customers. Help in the kitchen as needed. Re-Stocking as needed. Follow food safety regulations. Clean and Prep serving area regularly. Cleaning of all aspects of the cooler, floor, machines, etc. Take Customer orders. Run register to complete customer check out process. Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
General Qualifications - Dependable. Good work ethic. Pay attention to detail
Required Qualifications - Ability to stand 4-6 hours at a time. Listen and follow directions
Preferred Qualifications - ServSafe Certification (not required, but preferred). Previous Food service experience
Physical Demands - Ability to lift at least 20 pounds. Sweep, Mop, and Clean as needed. Long Periods of Standing
Work Environment - In the knights grill, located on the bottom floor of A Building, on campus, $16.00/hour Weekly Hours: Mon-Thurs: 7a-2p Fri: 7a-1:30p
