General Surgeon Program-Building Role Near Fort Worth, Texas Join a respected community hospital seeking a full-time General Surgeon to build and shape a growing surgical service line. This role offers broad general surgery volume, dedicated OR time, solo call with locum support, and the autonomy to develop the program and referral base.
Position Highlights - Serve as the sole General Surgeon with the opportunity to build and grow the surgical service line
- Potential for a part-time surgeon, with the current surgeon potentially remaining at 0.5 FTE
- Goal of 40-50 cases per month after a one-year ramp-up
- Additional growth expected from surrounding communities
- Broad general surgery case mix with opportunities to expand services and develop referral relationships
- Solo call with locum support coordinated to allow for planned time away
Schedule & Call - Dedicated OR block time
- Approximately 2-3 clinic days per week
- Standard weekday schedule with no routine weekend clinic
- Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered
- Flexible Fall 2026 start date
Compensation & Benefits - 500,000-550,000 guaranteed base salary, based on experience
- Productivity bonus of $66.67 per wRVU above 7,500 annually
- $50,000 sign-on bonus
- $10,000 relocation assistance

Candidate Requirements - Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
- Comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting
- Experienced surgeons preferred; exceptional new graduates will be considered
