A growing inpatient behavioral health program in Northern Colorado is seeking a full-time Adult Psychiatrist to join its clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist who values meaningful patient care, clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape an expanding behavioral health program. The incoming physician will manage a reasonable inpatient census currently averaging approximately 12 patients , collaborate closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and provide clinical supervision to advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adult inpatient behavioral health patients
- Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care, medication management, and clinical follow-up
- Manage an inpatient census currently averaging approximately 12 patients
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans when clinically appropriate
- Supervise and collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other advanced practice providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and clinical case discussions
- Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, social work, case management, and other clinical departments
- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Support patient stabilization, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Provide clinical leadership as the inpatient program continues to expand
- Participate in weekend coverage approximately two weekends per month
Qualifications Required
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication-management skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered behavioral healthcare
- Ability to work onsite in Northern Colorado
Preferred
- Previous adult inpatient psychiatry experience
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners or physician assistants
- Experience working in an expanding behavioral health program
- Strong background in psychiatric documentation and treatment planning
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and team collaboration skills
Working Hours
- Full-time, onsite position
- Monday through Friday
- Standard daytime schedule
- Weekend coverage approximately two weekends per month
- No remote or telepsychiatry arrangement
- Candidates should currently reside within commuting distance or be prepared to relocate independently

Compensation
