WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an Emergency Department opportunity in Tennessee. This assignment offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center and regional tertiary referral center with a strong physician and APP coverage model, comprehensive specialty support, and an annual ED volume of approximately 36,000 visits.

Facility & Clinical Environment
This regional tertiary referral center is a 445-bed hospital serving as a major referral destination for East Tennessee. The facility provides comprehensive specialty services and includes a 37-bed children's hospital .
The Emergency Department provides care across a broad range of emergency presentations and operates with a robust physician and APP coverage model. Providers will be required to obtain shared privileges and cross-credentialing for the Emergency Department, Observation services, and pediatric hospital services.
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- ABEM candidates only
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved Emergency Medicine residency program
- New graduates accepted
- Emergency Medicine residency graduates within the past 12 months will be considered
- ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
- Active DEA registration with a Tennessee address
- DEA Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- ACLS and ATLS required
- PALS required if not ABEM certified
- NRP required for non-ABEM providers
- Must be willing and able to serve as a supervising physician for NPs and PAs
