A well-established, community-owned, not-for-profit health system in North Alabama is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to help launch and grow a new MFM service line. This is an opportunity to build a program from the ground up while providing much-needed high-risk pregnancy care to a regional population of approximately 175,000.
Opportunity Highlights
- $500,000 base salary
- $540,000 first-year financial package before benefits
- $25,000 sign-on bonus

- Approximately 20 patients per day during clinical time
- Cerner EMR
- New MFM service with the opportunity to help shape and grow the program
- Approximately 50% MFM clinical / 50% resident education and faculty responsibilities once the residency program is established
- Collaborative environment with OB/GYN, Family Medicine, APPs, neonatology, residents, and other specialists
Clinical Scope
- Outpatient MFM consultations and follow-up
- Evaluation and management of high-risk pregnancies
- Detailed obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessments
- Prenatal diagnosis and counseling
- Management of maternal medical conditions and fetal complications
- Multidisciplinary maternal and fetal care planning
Qualifications
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician
- Minimum 2 years of practice experience
- Prior teaching experience required
- Interest in resident education and helping develop a growing academic program
