Facility:This well-equipped ophthalmology clinic features 6 exam rooms, with dedicated spaces for both providers and technicians. The clinic offers advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including Heidelberg OCT with viewing station, auto refractor, Argos, topographer, Zeiss fundus camera, Zeiss Humphrey visual field, B-scan on site, and in-office YAG capability.
Opportunity:Physician (MD) - Ophthalmology
Job Details:- Full time locum tenens provider coverage needed with a minimum of one week at a time
- Schedule consists of 4 clinic days and 1 procedure day per week
- 30+ patient encounters per clinic shift and 8+ procedures on procedure days
- 1/4 call required with minimal callback
- Board certification required with BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- Perform non-surgical and surgical/invasive ophthalmology procedures
- Perform non-surgical laser procedures including anterior segment, posterior segment, and YAG laser
- Perform anterior segment surgical procedures including cataract removal, phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction, and intraocular lens implant
- Perform posterior segment surgical procedures
- Conduct and interpret ultrasound studies including A and B-scan performance and interpretation
- Perform and interpret photo studies, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
