Maintenance Electrician - Washington DC
Federal O&M Contractor seeking full-time Electrician with Facilities Maintenance background for long term employment opportunity within the Donald J Trump Institute of Peace Building, Washington DC.
Must be willing to submit to a Federal Background Check and be able to attain a Secret or possibly Top Secret Clearance. Details to be discussed at interview stage.
Candidates are required to possess Electrical Certification for Washington DC and be able to demonstrate 5 yrs or more recent experience in commercial or industrial electrical, mechanical, structural & architectural maintenance services in commercial facilities.
Incumbent works under the Chief Engineer and/or Project Manager. Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Wage Rate: $53.50 with increases per CBA Annually. Must be willing to work Overtime as Needed.
This position is under a Collective Bargaining Agreement and would require membership in Local Trades Union; benefits include Pension, Health & Welfare, Paid Vacation, Sick Leave and Holidays.
