Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery
Job Details:
- 10-hour (7:00 AM 5:00 PM) or 12-hour (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) shifts available
- Call coverage includes 1 weeknight call and one weekend day per call week; call is onsite and hourly rates apply
- Typically 1 2 MDs in clinic per day with 1 NP present Monday through Friday; additional APP present 1 2 times per week
- Patients scheduled from 9:00 AM 3:30 PM with rounds required prior to clinic
- Support staff includes 6 MDs, 1 RN, and 4 MAs
- Patient population consists of adults
- EMR system is Epic; providers with experience may test out of training
- Procedures include inpatient/acute care, diagnostic and therapeutic taps, surgical care, suturing, EVD placement, lumbar drain, lumbar puncture, ICP monitor placement, and primary surgical care of complex wounds
- Board Certification in Neurosurgery required
- Active South Carolina license required
- Must have been practicing medicine for at least 2 years post-training
- Must have a clean malpractice history
- All travel expenses including airfare, hotel, rental car, and mileage are billable
