We are looking for a skilled OB/GYN to provide temporary call coverage near Adamsburg, PA for a short-term assignment. Assignment Details:
- Location: Near Adamsburg, Pennsylvania
- Coverage Dates: November 29, 2024 - December 1, 2024 (7:00 am - 7:00 am)
- Coverage Type: Call only (second call/backup)
- Facility Type: Inpatient, Level I Trauma, supporting a high volume of obstetric cases
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
- Privileges: Temporary privileges available
- Shift Structure: 24-hour call coverage (with no supervision required)
Practice Requirements:
- Specialty Skills: Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Experience Required:
- High-risk and low-risk pregnancy management
- Routine deliveries, C-sections, and complex deliveries (e.g., breech, VBAC, multiple births)
- Proficiency in interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring
- Ultrasound skills (Level I and Level II for viability and anatomy scans)
- Skills in minor and major gynecological surgeries, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, laparoscopic procedures, and laser certification preferred
- Management of third- and fourth-degree laceration repairs
Qualifications:
- License: Must be licensed in Pennsylvania
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; fellowship preferred but not required
- Certification Requirements: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are not required for this role
Additional Information:
- Support Staff: Includes a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for first call coverage
- Patient Volume: Facility averages approximately 1,590 deliveries annually
- Travel & Lodging: Nearest airports include Pittsburgh and Latrobe. Lodging arrangements will be made by the facility.
- Compensation: Competitive, all-inclusive daily rate, including travel and lodging expenses
