Position Overview:
A community-based cancer center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting December 1, 2026. The position involves providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient clinical care along with shared call coverage. Temporary privileges are available with an estimated 60-day credentialing timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult and treat both ambulatory (outpatient) and hospital (inpatient) oncology/hematology patients.
- Manage an average daily volume of 15 patients per shift in a facility equipped with 18 chemo and 2 non-chemo infusion chairs as well as on-site radiation oncology services.
- Perform general hematology and oncology care (bone marrow biopsies completed on-site; preferred).
- Provide shared night and weekend beeper call coverage.
- Document all patient interactions using Cerner EMR and log time via a real-time Mobile Time Clock.
