The right candidate must be a strong commercial electrician and a confident field leader. You must be able to communicate professionally with general contractors and jobsite superintendents, including respectfully pushing back when requested work is unsafe, incorrect, outside our scope, or likely to create scheduling or cost problems.

  • Review electrical plans, specifications, one-lines, panel schedules, and project schedules
  • Lay out work and provide clear direction to the crew
  • Coordinate with general contractors, superintendents, inspectors, and other trades
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field problems
  • Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and project progress
  • Identify plan conflicts, missing information, scope gaps, and potential change orders
  • Document delays, existing conditions, extra work, and GC-directed changes
  • Order materials and prevent avoidable downtime
  • Communicate project needs and concerns clearly with the office
  • Perform electrical work alongside the crew when needed
  • Help complete projects on schedule and within budget

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years of commercial electrical experience
  • Minimum three years as a foreman or lead electrician responsible for running commercial projects
  • Active California General Electrician Certification, commonly called a journeyman or JC card
  • Electrician Trainee cards will not be accepted for this position
  • Proven experience supervising electrical crews
  • Strong commercial tenant-improvement experience
  • Ground-up construction experience
  • Ability to independently read plans, specifications, one-lines, panel schedules, and construction schedules
  • Strong troubleshooting, layout, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with EMT, underground PVC, switchgear, panels, feeders, branch circuits, lighting controls, RTU connections, equipment connections, and electrical demolition
  • Ability to recognize scope gaps and change-order work before proceeding
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Personal hand tools required
  • Willingness to travel to different Southern California jobsites

Residential-only experience does not meet the requirements for this position.

What We Value

  • Strong leadership without unnecessary drama
  • Accountability and follow-through
  • Clear and direct communication
  • Respect for employees, customers, and other trades
  • Confidence addressing problems before they become expensive
  • Willingness to professionally stand up to a superintendent when necessary
  • Ability to protect the company while maintaining a good relationship with the general contractor
  • Someone who treats each project like it is their own
