Vocational Nurse - LVN

Job Description - Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide high-quality care in a Correctional Facility setting across California.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum 24 months of LVN experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institution providing direct patient care.
- Current and valid California LVN License issued by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities:

- Provide basic nursing care and hygiene services under the direction of RN or Physician.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic effects.
- Assist with routine procedures, minor surgeries, and diagnostic testing.
- Monitor, record, and report patient/youth conditions to RNs and Physicians.
- Obtain and document specimens for diagnostic tests.
- Support mental health staff in patient treatment planning and evaluation.
- Educate patients on health practices and ensure continuity of care.
- Document all care provided using approved methods and formats.
- Clean and maintain medical equipment as required.
