Job description

A leading Northern California hospital is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist with Neonatology experience or a Neonatologist comfortable managing pediatric patients for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is an inpatient, call-only opportunity supporting both pediatric and neonatal patient populations. Required Qualifications

MD/DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3-5 years of residency)
Active California Medical License
DEA Required
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Clean malpractice and professional history required for temporary privileging consideration

Clinical Overview
This role is primarily focused on neonatal care with some pediatric responsibilities:
- Approximately 80% NICU and 20% Pediatrics
- NICU patients as young as 32 weeks gestation
- Newborn resuscitations and management of premature infants
- Inpatient call coverage only
