- Support Services: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Hospital Medicine, Telestroke, Tele-ICU, on-site helicopter access, laboratory, radiology, anesthesia, and operating room support
Emergency Medicine Physician Job Requirements
- Physician with at least 1 year of emergency medicine experience
- Board certification is required
- Active Wisconsin physician license or eligibility for Wisconsin licensure
- Current ACLS and ATLS certifications
- Ability to evaluate and treat emergency and urgent care patients across a broad range of conditions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and consulting services
Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, stabilize, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department and urgent care setting
- Manage approximately 20 patient encounters during a typical emergency medicine shift
- Perform emergency procedures and coordinate appropriate consultations, transfers, and admissions
- Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and the broader care team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
- Utilize available specialty consultation, telemedicine, laboratory, radiology, surgical, orthopedic, and critical care resources
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and disposition decisions accurately and promptly
