Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a locum tenens opportunity at an established inpatient health facility in Missouri. The provider will deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescent and adult patients, working collaboratively with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
This position is primarily inpatient, with potential involvement in a small outpatient department as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily psychiatric rounds and provide ongoing inpatient care.

Perform psychiatric evaluations for new and existing patients.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.

Manage psychiatric medications and monitor patient progress.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the WellSky EMR system.

Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.

Manage an average daily caseload of patients.
Schedule & Patient Population

Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.

Weekend Coverage: One rotating weekend per month.

On-Call: Not required.

Patient Volume: Approximately patients daily.

Patient Ages: Primarily , with some patients as young as 12.

Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient psychiatry, with occasional outpatient coverage.
Requirements:

Licensed Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric experience.

Active Missouri NP license

Experience managing adolescent and adult psychiatric patients.

Current BLS and CPR certifications.

Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Familiarity with EMR is a plus.
