Overview:
Our surgical practice in Nashville is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide preoperative and postoperative care for a cardiac and surgical patient population. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday Friday schedule with flexibility, within a collaborative clinical team.
Position Offers:

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients for preoperative surgical clearance, including ordering and reviewing labs and EKGs
- Conduct patient evaluations and comprehensive clinical assessments
- Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate patient care across specialties and services, monitoring progress and communicating updates with the care team
Qualifications:
- Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or cardiac care
- Clinical experience in surgical settings (e.g., cath lab, CVICU, OR, pre-op/post-op) preferred, with EMR proficiency
- Ability to work independently
- Strong clinical judgment, patient management, communication, and collaboration skills
