Outpatient Neurology Opportunity - Albany & Clifton Park, NYQuick Screening Snapshot (Key Details)

Location: Albany & Clifton Park, New York
Position Type: Permanent (No locums)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (outpatient)
Call: Shared rotational call
Weekend Coverage: Not specified (likely limited to call)
Start Date: Open / Negotiable

Licensure & Credentialing Requirements

Board Certification: Required (Neurology)
Board Eligible: Not accepted
New York Medical License: Required or ability to obtain
DEA: Required

Training & Procedural Requirements

General Neurology with ability to perform:
- EMG/NCS
- EEG
- Sleep study interpretation (if applicable)
Subspecialty opportunities (not required):
- Neuromuscular
- Epilepsy

Candidate Restrictions

No visa sponsorship
No locum candidates
Board-certified physicians only

Clinical Role Overview

Provide outpatient general neurology care
Participate in inpatient rounding and consults at Samaritan Hospital (Troy)
Perform EMG/NCS and EEG procedures
Read sleep studies as available
Participate in shared call rotation
Collaborate with MS Headache Center and hospitalist teams
Support and mentor new graduates and junior staff
Contribute to growth and integration of expanding neurology services

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary
$25,000 sign-on bonus
$15,000 retention bonus (at 2 years)
