Anesthesiology Physician

Northern New York State Anesthesiologist Job - 1 Hour from Syracuse

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible anesthesiologist

• Join an established private anesthesiology group with an exclusive hospital services contract

• Currently employs six physicians; seeking one additional anesthesiologist

• Visa sponsorship is not available at this time

• Work at one hospital

• Typical daytime schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

• Shared night and weekend call listed as 1:7

• Additional compensation for call beyond 1:7

• Team model involving medical supervision of CRNAs

• Typical supervision ratio of 3:1 or 4:1

• Approximately 10% of the role involves performing your own cases

• Standard bread-and-butter hospital cases

• Approximately 6,650 surgeries annually

• Significant OB volume, including approximately 900 obstetrical epidurals and 450 cesarean sections annually

• CRNAs handle overnight epidurals

• Eight operating rooms and two dedicated cesarean section operating rooms

• Established robotic surgery program with da Vinci Xi technology

• Level III trauma center; major trauma transferred to Syracuse

• No neurosurgery or cardiac surgery

• No requirement to participate in the pain management clinic

• Teaching opportunities with accredited family medicine and internal medicine residency programs

• EMR: paper charting, transitioning to EMR

• Independent, financially stable, not-for-profit hospital with approximately 290 beds

• Medical staff includes approximately 180 physicians across 42 specialties

• Serves a regional population of approximately 250,000, including military personnel and families from nearby Fort Drum

• Current base salary: $650,000, subject to change

• Employed opportunity with a partnership track after two years

• Signing bonuses totaling $100,000: $50,000 in year one and $50,000 in year two

• Relocation reimbursement: $10,000

• Eligible for the Doctors Across New York Physician Loan Repayment Program

• 8-10 weeks of paid vacation annually
