R&O Heating is seeking an organized, proactive, and experienced Operations Manager to help coordinate and strengthen our day-to-day operations across our HVAC service and construction departments. This position will work closely with the current supervisor, technicians, office staff, customers, and general contractors to ensure projects, service calls, equipment orders, scheduling, and communication are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
-Coordinate daily operations, appointments, schedules, and field activities.
-Work closely with the current supervisor to support technicians and maintain efficient workflows.
-Coordinate equipment, material, and supply orders and help ensure items are available when needed.
-Serve as a primary communication link between customers, general contractors, technicians, supervisors, and internal departments.
-Communicate with GCs regarding schedules, service needs, project coordination, and field updates.
-Assist with dispatching and coordinating service technicians and service calls.
-Help develop, organize, and oversee R&O Heatings General Public Service Department, including scheduling, customer communication, workflow, and service coordination.
-Review existing departmental processes and identify opportunities to improve organization, efficiency, communication, and accountability.
-Develop and implement new workflows, procedures, and systems as needed.
-Coordinate effectively with estimating, project management, accounting, purchasing, and other departments.
-Monitor service and operational issues and help ensure they are addressed promptly.
-Assist with scheduling inspections, site visits, service calls, and other field activities.
-Maintain organized records, schedules, equipment information, and operational documentation.
-Help ensure customers and GCs receive timely and professional communication.
-Assist management with special projects and other operational needs as the company grows.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in HVAC, construction, service operations, dispatch, or a related field strongly preferred.
Previous operations, coordination, or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing schedules.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Comfortable communicating with customers, technicians, GCs, vendors, and internal staff.
Ability to identify operational problems and develop practical solutions.
HVAC knowledge and field experience are a strong plus.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints is a plus.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking initiative without constant direction.
Proficiency with computers, email, scheduling systems
Compensation
Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience, qualifications, and knowledge. Minimum is 62,400 with no maximum as position base pay plus commissions. R&O Heating runs on a biweekly payroll.
