What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to diverse detainee populations, including adults and children, in a detention facility setting
• Conduct physical assessments, manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Oversee and collaborate with medical staff, including APPs and nurses
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with specialists when needed
• Document all clinical encounters following facility policies and HIPAA regulations
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in staff meetings
• Maintain compliance with licensing, privileging, and security requirements

What You Need
Required:

• Active medical license in Louisiana and DEA registration
• BLS/CPR certification
• 3+ years of medical practice experience, ideally in primary care or correctional/detention settings
• Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work independently

Preferred:

• Experience in correctional or residential healthcare settings
• Proficiency in Spanish (preferred but not required)
