Cardiology Physician

A healthcare organization in Western Kentucky is seeking a Board Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, non-invasive cardiology procedures, and shared call coverage in a collaborative cardiovascular program.

• Setting: Hospital and Outpatient Clinic
• Start Date: As early as September 2026
• Contract: Long-term assignment (6-12 months preferred)
• Schedule: Full-time or part-time opportunities
• Coverage: Monday-Friday or Monday-Sunday availability required
• Shift Types: Day shifts, weekday call, and 24-hour call
• Call: Approximately one weeknight call and one weekend call per month
• Temporary Privileges: Available

• Provide outpatient cardiology clinic services
• Perform inpatient cardiology consultations
• Interpret echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests, including nuclear, dobutamine, and exercise studies
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, and tilt table testing
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular care teams
• Participate in scheduled call coverage across multiple practice locations within the health system

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
• Minimum of two years of post-training experience
• Proficiency performing TEE, cardioversion, and tilt table testing
• Experience interpreting echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests
• Willingness to provide weekend coverage at multiple locations within the health system
• Eligible for hospital credentialing
