Locums - Lebanon, Pennsylvania, NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
Coverage Dates:
- October 23 at 5:00 p.m.-October 26 at 7:00 a.m.
- October 30 at 5:00 p.m.-November 2 at 7:00 a.m.
Coverage & Setting:
- Hospital-based Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
- 163-bed hospital
- Adult patients, ages 18+
- 3 weekends of coverage needed per month
- Surgeon available for backup following consultation
Schedule & Call Requirements:
- Weekend coverage: Friday at 5:00 p.m.-Monday at 7:00 a.m.
- 24-hour call coverage
- Average callback/rounding workload: Approximately 4 hours per day
Clinical Scope & Procedures:
- Vein harvesting
- Coverage includes urgent surgical cases
- Patients may transition directly from the cath lab to surgery when urgent intervention is required
- Stable patients may be managed until definitive treatment on Monday
- Postoperative care includes patients transitioning from ICU through discharge home
Support & Systems:
- APP support
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
- Temporary privileges may be available with a clean file
Requirements:
- Board Certification - Required
- Active Pennsylvania license - Required
- DEA - Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience - Required
- Acute Care Certificate not required
