We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position near Mineral, Washington. Schedule and Coverage
- Start Date: ASAP, as soon as credentialed
- Coverage: Scheduled shifts with no on-call requirement
- Shift Details: Day shifts, 8 hours each, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Contract Length: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
- Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Details
- Practice Setting: Outpatient ambulatory setting
- Support Staff:
- Dedicated medical assistant for each provider
- Receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians
- Onsite pediatrician and healthcare administrator for support
- Amount of Coverage Needed: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Patients Per Day: Up to 21 patients; the number may vary based on cancellations, but the environment is typically high-volume and fast-paced
- Patient Population: Newborns to geriatrics; the provider should be comfortable working with all age groups
- EMR System: EPIC
- Skills Required:
- Must be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision after an initial one-week orientation
- Expected to begin patient care by day 3 of the assignment
Job Requirements
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Pediatrics
- License: Active Washington state license required; non-licensed candidates will not be considered
- DEA: Active Washington DEA required
- Certifications: Specific certifications, such as BLS and ACLS, may be required and will be discussed during the credentialing process
- Minimum Experience: Must have a clean background with no malpractice history and experience with the EPIC EMR system
