Job Description
- Unit Name: Radiology M.D. Locums
- Facility Considerations:
- Please inform AC if a facility needs to be built, providing the facility name and a physical address.
- If the provider floats between locations with the same credentialing, a float pool may need to be created.
Work Details
- Specialty: General Radiology (Diagnostic), all onsite
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: Through Fall, possibly longer
- Shift Details:
- Usually a 7 or 8 AM start, ending close to 5 or 6
- 8-hour shift
- Schedule: 3 weeks on, 1 week off
Patient Load
- Support Staff: Working with 3 other Radiologists
- Patients per Day: 120-200 average between 4 docs (X-ray: 65, CT: 55, UST: 15, MRI: 12, NUC: 3)
- Reads Seen: On average day
- Patient Population/Age: 18+
- Department Description: PACS System: AGFA Enterprise; Equipment: All Siemens
- EMR: Meditech
- Hospital Bed Size: 222, occupying about 100-130
- Skills Required: General Radiology (no mammography), Plain film, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine (limited), Thyroid Aspiration, Percutaneous Biopsy
Practice Setting
Requirements
- Board Certification: ABR Certification
- State License Required: Yes
- Certifications Preferred:
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
- Credentialing Timeframe: Temp Priv: 45-60 days (if no lawsuits in background), Full Priv: 95-100 days
