Job Summary:
A thriving healthcare organization near FLUSHING, NY, is actively seeking a skilled Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Review patient history, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
- Provide relationship-centered care, considering both psychosocial and physical needs.
- Clinical Skills:
- Demonstrate quality clinical diagnostic skills in delivering patient care.
- Review all test results and recommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations.
- Record Keeping:
- Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.
- Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted New York State license.
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
- BLS or ACLS required.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
