Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a physician, preferably in hematology and oncology or internal medicine
- Completion of fellowship training in hematology/oncology
- Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty
- Active Missouri physician license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to provide documentation for credentialing, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days
Hematology and Oncology Physician Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments
- Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and adjust therapies as clinically appropriate
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based hematology and oncology care while maintaining efficient patient flow
