What You ll Do
- Provide advanced support in cardiothoracic urgent surgeries, including vein harvesting
- Assist with patient care from ICU to discharge, including postoperative management
- Support surgical teams during procedures and maintaining sterile environments
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Support staff scheduling for 3 weekends per month coverage, including 4 hours of callback daily
- Navigate the EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and clinical updates
- Respond to urgent surgical needs during 24-hour shifts and provide backup as required
What You Need
Required: - PA license in Pennsylvania
- DEA license
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic or acute care surgical support
- Strong knowledge of vein harvesting procedures
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts and manage responsive callbacks
Preferred: - Experience in urgent cardiac surgery environments
- Certification in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS)
