Locums - Langhorne, Pennsylvania, NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role
- ASAP start with ongoing need until a permanent provider is hired
- 1 NP/PA needed
- 100% inpatient, hospital-based Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Adult patient population
- Level II Trauma Center
- Support the Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the operating room and with inpatient care
Schedule & Call
- Primary need for nights and weekends with possible weekday coverage
- Weekend coverage includes Saturday and Sunday rounding followed by call coverage
- Additional call coverage as needed
- Callback hours currently unknown
Practice Model & Clinical Expectations
- Preoperative physical examinations
- Inpatient rounding and coordination of care
- Diagnose and treat illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Surgical first assist
- Prescribe medications
- Suture removal
- Chest tube insertion
- Endoscopic retrieval procedures
- Epic EMR
Requirements & Credentialing
- Board Certified
- Active Pennsylvania license required
- Client will not consider candidates who need to obtain Pennsylvania licensure
- ACLS and BLS required
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required
- Local candidates required
- No new graduates
