Northern California, Pulmonologist Job Greater San Francisco Bay Area

RecruitWell is partnering a well-established, healthcare system that is recruiting a Pulmonologist to support both succession planning and continued growth within an established, highly respected pulmonary practice in Northern California. This opportunity is ideal for a physician interested in a balanced mix of outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine, inpatient pulmonary care, and optional critical care coverage.

Position OverviewJoin a collaborative network of primary-care and specialty providers in a collegial, well-supported practice environment. The pulmonary team treats a broad range of respiratory and sleep-related conditions, including shortness of breath, chronic cough, asthma, COPD, emphysema, lung cancer, pleurisy, pulmonary vascular disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea.The practice includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient pulmonary consultation, and an opportunity to develop a focused area of practice based on the physician's interests.Practice Highlights
  • Full-time position with 36 patient-contact hours per week.

  • Outpatient Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice, with inpatient Pulmonary Medicine responsibilities.

  • Opportunities for critical care shifts, based on interest and availability.

  • Hospital consults and call shared equitably among the physician group.

  • Support from hospitalists and primary-care providers.

  • Access to a comprehensive pulmonary-function laboratory.

  • Epic electronic health record.

  • Opportunity to build or expand clinical focus areas in sleep medicine, interventional pulmonology, inpatient consultation, or critical care.

  • Established, collaborative team with experienced clinical and administrative support.

Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.

  • Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.

  • Open to experienced physicians and new fellowship graduates.

  • Active California medical license or eligibility for California licensure.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and referring providers.

  • Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences among the patient population.

  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, clinical quality, and an exceptional patient experience.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive compensation ranging from $350,000 to $500,000, commensurate with experience and training.

  • Two-year guaranteed base salary with productivity bonus opportunity.

  • Incentives may include a signing bonus, relocation assistance, forgivable loan, and final-year fellowship stipend.
