We are recruiting an experienced Emergency Medicine physician for an extremely satisfying Medical Director opportunity just minutes from New York City.
This is a 50-60,000-visit Level III Trauma emergency department with meaningful acuity, trauma and complex emergency care. Physicians are actively involved in managing challenging cases rather than simply transferring every interesting patient to a tertiary team.
Just as importantly, the incoming Medical Director will not be walking into an understaffed department. The organization has recently made a major investment in the program, including the addition of seven new Emergency Medicine providers and a transition toward greater physician coverage. The result is a healthy, well-staffed clinical team that allows the new leader to focus on what leadership should be about: operations, physician engagement, quality, throughput and patient experience.

The ideal candidate is a credible, experienced Emergency Medicine physician who knows how a busy ED actually works.

Prior leadership experience is preferred, but the emphasis is on real-world Emergency Medicine experience, operational judgment and clinical credibility.
