- Base Salary: $390,000 $550,000 annually
- Potential Total Compensation: Up to $600,000+ based on experience, call coverage, productivity, and incentive bonuses. Compensation varies by employer and practice model.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a growing cardiovascular anesthesia team in Albany, New York. The physician will provide comprehensive anesthesia care for adult cardiac surgical procedures, structural heart interventions, and other complex cardiovascular cases while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities - Administer anesthesia for cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements/repairs, aortic procedures, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
- Provide anesthesia support for structural heart procedures such as TAVR, TMVR, and electrophysiology interventions.
- Perform and interpret perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
- Deliver perioperative patient assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative critical care.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, intensivists, and nursing staff.
- Participate in cardiac anesthesia call rotation.
- Ensure compliance with evidence-based practices and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, education, and clinical research activities as applicable.
Qualifications - MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred.
- Eligible for or possess an active New York medical license.
- Certification in Advanced Perioperative TEE (or eligibility) preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
