Job description

  • Coverage: Ongoing, approx. 1-2 weeks per month
  • Minimum: 5-7 shifts per month; must be willing to work nights and weekends
  • Call: Weeknight beeper; 24-hour weekend beeper
  • Shifts:
  • Setting: Level III trauma hospital
  • Cases: General (adult/peds), OB, neuro (head/spine), thoracic (non-cardiac), complex vascular (non-cardiac), complex ortho, regional anesthesia; no open-heart
  • Skills: Spinal/epidural, regional blocks; pain management techniques; post-op epidurals and extremity blocks; ventilation management; hemodynamic/volume-BP management; central and arterial lines (no PA catheter); no CRNA supervision
  • Requirements: Active CA license, DEA, Board Certified or truly Board Eligible
  • Estimated credentialing: 90 days; no temporary privileges; will not wait for license
