PUT YOUR ENDOCRINE EXPERTISE TO WORK Step into a hands-on clinical role where you'll have the opportunity to independently assess and manage patients while collaborating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete patient histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Formulate diagnoses and individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Monitor treatment response and adjust therapies
- Provide ongoing Endocrinology care
- Complete consultations and progress notes
- Coordinate specialist referrals
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes and treatment
- Provide preventive care counseling
- Recognize and respond to urgent clinical situations
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Connecticut APRN license
- Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration
- DEA Registration
- AHA BLS
- Strong independent clinical decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of Endocrinology disease states and medication management
Preferred: 1+ year of APP experience in Endocrinology or Endocrine Neoplasia.
