Bronx, New York, Nephrology Physician Assistant Job

- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible physician assistant
- Must have 6+ months of post-training experience as a PA in nephrology
- Outpatient-only position
- Work collaboratively with nephrologists to evaluate and manage patients with kidney-related conditions
- Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
- Ability to work 3-5 days per week
- Part-time or full-time options available
- Call schedule to be determined
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required
- H-1B visa sponsorship available, if needed
- Conduct consultations, review medical histories, and perform patient assessments
- Evaluate kidney function and develop individualized treatment plans
- Treat and manage kidney-related illnesses and monitor patient progress
- Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing
- Assess the need for dialysis and coordinate recommendations with the nephrology team
- Refer patients for surgical evaluation when indicated
- Prescribe and administer medications within scope of practice
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Master's degree from an accredited PA program in New York State
- Proficiency in nephrology care required
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

- Salary range: $135,000-$150,000
