Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) positions available across multiple sitesABEM board certification requiredMinimum 2 years of emergency department experience required, or family medicine with emergency medicine fellowshipAll shifts are 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AMSingle physician coverage at each site with APP supportOn-site coverage includes weekends and nights, no call requiredPatient populations vary by site including elderly patients, winter Texans, nursing home patients, and mixed demographicsAll sites see high acuity cases; Northwest and Doctors Regional sites are Level IV trauma centersAverage daily patient census ranges from 45 to 80 patients depending on siteRequired procedures include intubation, central line placement, ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repairAPP support coverage varies by site ranging from 9 to 24 hours per dayOnboarding includes 2-hour orientation on EMR and local quality measures, plus 2-3 required shadow shiftsCase logs will be required for credentialing1-year duration of need with 2 to 4 positions availableFacility:
