Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified PM&R physician for inpatient rehabilitation coverage from mid-September through October 31.
- Schedule: Tuesday Saturday
- Saturday: High-priority admission coverage
- Average Census: patients
- EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation care for neurologic, orthopedic, and complex medical patients.
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Participate in team rounds, goal-setting, and discharge planning.
- Manage medical needs, pain, and spasticity.
- Work closely with Hospitalists, PT, OT, SLP, nursing, case management, and social work.
- Support Saturday admissions.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Active California medical license required
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Spinal cord injury experience highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This 424-bed, nonprofit community hospital offers a wide range of services, including Emergency/Trauma, Cancer, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Women's Health.
The CARF-accredited Center for Rehabilitation Medicine provides inpatient rehabilitation for patients with:
- Stroke and brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Multiple trauma
- Amputation
- Complex medical conditions
Support Team
You will work with a dedicated rehabilitation team including PT, OT, SLP, rehab nursing, case management, and social work, with full hospital support available.
