NorTek Medical Staffing is working on a confidential Psychiatrist Medical Director opportunity in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This role will support an adult behavioral health program with inpatient psychiatry, detox, and residential services. The site is expected to start with a slower census ramp, making this a strong opportunity for a physician who wants to step into a leadership role while helping shape clinical operations as the program grows.

The client can consider a psychiatrist who starts full-time from the beginning, or potentially begins part-time with transition to full-time within approximately 2 months.

• Compensation: $350,000 $400,000
• Schedule: Full-time preferred
• Start timeline: Target start in approximately 45 days

• Provide psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight for adult behavioral health services
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning
• Support adult inpatient, detox, and residential programming
• Collaborate with facility leadership, nursing, therapy, case management, and operations
• Participate in admissions, discharges, documentation, and clinical reviews
• Help support clinical workflows as census grows
• Maintain quality, safety, documentation, and compliance standards
• Provide leadership presence and clinical guidance to the care team

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Colorado license preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain
• Inpatient psychiatry experience strongly preferred
• Prior Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Chief Psychiatrist, or senior attending experience preferred
• Experience with adult inpatient, detox, residential, substance use, or dual-diagnosis populations is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with facility leadership
• Comfortable stepping into a leadership role during a census ramp
